It’s that time again to go around the blogosphere and learn from other Six Sigma blogs.

Discover 6 Sigma discusses the concept of SIPOC. The concept is valuable in that it shows you a step-by-step process that eventually ends up with how your customers are being benefitted by your quality efforts. In the news, the blog features how Cardinal Health and Eli Lilly reduce inventory claims by 90%. This is another instance where Six Sigma is making a difference in healthcare.

Got Boondoggle? shares that Toyota is hitting the brakes. The company is stopping building factories in the U.S. And as Mike said there are a lot of lean lessons that we can learn from this new move. You bet! I don’t think Toyota will make a move without studying all the stops and turns. Although, they’re gearing up for #1, they just couldn’t afford to be reckless.

At iSixSigma Blogosphere, Gianna Clark expounds on her invitation to take a walk on the W.O.W. side. Gianna cites six “what’s needed” to walk on W.O.W. The six steps succinctly summarizes how to sustain process improvements in the companby by keeping a system with useful metrics, listening to the VOC, and involving everyone to encourage teamwork.

Learn Sigma has a good discussion going about integrating A3 into the DMAIC framework. Accordingly, A3 is a problem solving report developed as part of the Toyota Production System which is written/sketched on an A3 piece of paper. Interesting, isn’t it?

Lean Six Sigma Academy suggests three easy steps to becoming more effective. Yeah, we all need this. All our efforts will be for naught if we don’t know how to be effective and encourage everyone to do a good job as well.

Excellent posts! Now, go check out the blogs! :)
