LaBarge Reaping Benefits from Six Sigma

Late last year, LaBarge, Inc., a recognized leader in the electronics manufacturing services industry, hired Mark Teubert as director of operational excellence. Mr. Teubert, a former SM for operations process excellence at Rolls Royce Aircraft Engines, would be responsible for process improvement initiatives.

This year, not even a year after that, Raytheon recognized LaBarge with the Six Sigma award for the company’s effort to streamline production and lower operating costs while maintaining quality.

Raytheon recently awarded LaBarge a $10 million contract for work in Joplin on the David’s Sling program, a joint project between the United States and Israel to develop systems that would protect against short-range rockets and ballistic missiles.
